Reel Salazar's the BEST of 2011 in Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror

Every year before choosing our Best of 2011, it is our custom to give out awards for the Best of the Fantasy, Science Fiction and Horror films. This tradition was started in 2005 as a way of recognizing those films that are generally considered not awards worthy or in general not taken seriously.

This year was one of the most difficult years in film, both in the drama department as well as the Fantasy, Horror and Science Fiction genre. Each film nominated was equally great, making it hard to choose one film. However one film stood out as it was moving, inspirational, and gave audiences a new approach to fantasy. It was the definition of innovation.
