Today the Art Director's Guild nominated the best in art direction. However many films that were thought be front-runners in this categories were snubbed. War Horse, The Tree of Life were two big contenders as well as Jane Eyre, A Dangerous Method, My Week with Marilyn and J. Edgar. However unlike the other guilds the Art Director's have a tendency to get it wrong a lot of times. Two years ago Nine, The Young Victoria and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnasus were not nominated for this guild but ended up on the Oscar ballot.
